Forest Care has been caring since 1981. This means we run our homes with a breadth of experience and industry knowledge, combined with a family approach to care and management.
We listen to our residents and what they want from our care homes. Whenever possible, we strive to add a personal touch to the care we provide and activities available.
At Forest Care, four of our five homes across Surrey and Hampshire have experienced nurses on-site 24-hours a day offering nursing care (Elm Lodge is purely residential care). If you or a loved one only need support with daily tasks such as washing, dressing and eating, then you will typically need residential care. Our compassionate and experienced teams provide 24/7 support for our residents with all their personal care, medication and other daily needs. Holly Lodge is our regional and national award-winning specialist dementia care home.
We set our staffing ratios above industry-standard ratios, to enable a more relaxed environment for our residents where person-centred care can be delivered without having to be rushed. Click here for help and advice and FAQs.
We also provide support for our residents and their families with palliative care and end-of-life care. Our Home Managers are here if you wish to talk about your loved one’s care or any aspect of the home.
Choosing to live in a nursing home is a very hard emotional decision for everyone involved. The right time to go into residential care can vary on the lifestyle of the person, and their ability to manage day to day tasks. Such tasks can include managing with mental health, hygiene and personal care.
If life is starting to look lonely, difficult and unhealthy then residential care in a home can help with companionship and all-around 24/7 care, in a friendly environment.
Reach out to our team to discuss your needs and whether one of our Surrey care homes (Cedar Lodge or Holly Lodge) would be a good fit for your needs.
We highly recommend you take the time to see the care home, discuss with our team and then let yourself make the decision on what is right for you. To choose a good care home you will be on the lookout for something that feels personal and a place that offers exquisite care.
The first thing to understand is whether the care home offers the type of care needed for you. For more help and advice on our Surrey care homes click here.
We encourage everyone to watch our virtual tours and book a visit to the care home before making a decision.

Our activities team provides a full and varied activities programme for our residents in our Surrey care homes. The activities team use individual care plans and residents’ pastimes and hobbies to plan meaningful activities that enhance lives, encourage socialisation and stimulate memories. For those who are less able to participate in group activities, we provide one-to-one activities. Residents are always free to choose where and how they spend their time.
