This means we run our homes with a breadth of experience and industry knowledge, combined with a family approach to care and management. We are proud to create positive working environments within our homes encouraging participation and humour in the workplace, and this is reflected by our many long-serving staff.
We believe our staff should be generously rewarded for their compassion and dedication and therefore offer a competitive salary and the following benefits:
We provide comprehensive induction training for all new staff to ensure they feel confident and comfortable in their roles at our care homes.
We seek to employ the very best people to deliver exemplary care to our residents. Therefore we ensure that all of our staff are provided with continuous training and development to build upon their skill-sets, irrespective of previous qualifications and experience. We will pay for, support and encourage staff to complete further NVQ training (if applicable). We will also provide free training in the form of eLFY online courses and virtual dementia tours.
All our staff receive an annual review, and one of the ways we regularly reward employees is through work-based promotions. All full-time, contractual staff can enjoy paid breaks whilst working at any of our care homes.
As part of our long service award offering, staff receive an extra 2 days of annual leave (on top of their standard 28 days) when they reach the 5-year milestone of employment.
At Forest Care we operate an automatic enrolment facility into a pension scheme. Staff will normally be automatically enrolled after three months of continuous service.
We provide access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), a confidential staff benefit designed to support our staff in dealing with any personal or professional issues affecting their health and general wellbeing. Our EAP is delivered by Health Assured who provide a free 24-hour confidential helpline, please call 0800 032 7097 for help with any of the following issues:
Family issues, financial wellbeing, legal information, medical information, relationship advice, tenancy & housing concerns, childcare support, stress & anxiety, consumer issues, counselling, bereavement and alcohol & drug issues.
Employees can enjoy modern interiors and surroundings, beautiful countryside or woodland views and landscaped gardens and up-to-date professional equipment.
Employees who successfully refer a friend to Forest Care will receive £500 in gift cards!
We demonstrate our appreciation for long-serving employees through our annual Years of Service Awards at each of our care homes. We reward long-serving employees with vouchers and gifts for length of service. This scheme celebrates your 5th year at Forest Care, and then every 5 years thereafter.
Forest Care will provide a free uniform for all new employees, and will replace the uniform (if required from normal wear and tear) free of charge. We will also pay for DBS checks subject to successful applications.
